Vikas Tibrewala and the “Lucifer Gene” talk at HCD on December 2nd

Shanghai, December 2, 2011, HCD Global hosted a lecture on branding by a famous Professor of Management Vikas Tibrewala, whose main area of expertise is helping organizations to improve their marketing and strategic capabilities. More than 30 participants - CEOs, Vice Presidents, Board members and decision makers of China’s fashion, advertising, e-commerce and even car manufacturing companies, such as Geely, Supor, Li Ning, Lampo and others – came to listen to the Professor on this day talking about “The Lucifer Gene and the Challenge of Customer Centricity”.
The topic is unique and not widely discussed in the modern corporate world: “How do we succeed in the world of competition?”, “What kind of innovation do we need to win in this market?” or even “How do I learn from Apple?” Dr. Tibrewala gave a lot of examples on how large world corporations developed and marketed their brands – Coca-Cola, Apple, Tata, Levi’s and many others – that helped the audience to learn from the experience of others and gain deeper understanding of how companies develop their brands, successfully compete and win the market.
What made this lecture so unique and not “just another one of those” was the Professor’s approach to the very core of human psychology and nature that is part of every human being: what are the true meanings of success and failure, what lies beneath arrogance, what leads us to complacence; the “Lucifer Gene” and how our own motivation takes the organization to its ultimate goal. We all enjoyed the lecture and received a good advice that will make us reflect on how to become truly successful.

Dr. Vikas Tibrewala, Professor of Management, President of SKOLKOVO Leaders Forum. His work is focused on helping organizations significantly improve their marketing and strategic capabilities.
